A brand new club night incorporating live music
Mash is where live gig meets club night. Every month a live band will kick off proceedings which then carries on late into the night with DJ’s playing a mash up of soul, hip hop, funky house and oldskool.
Aimed at an older more discerning clubber who knows their music and expects to be treated civilly at the door, Mash promises fresh tunes delivered by knowledgeable and skilful DJ’s, a friendly greeting and great live acts both UK and US.
First up are the UK’s reigning kings of funky house Crazy Cousinz. Who cannot have dreamt of playing their bongo’s in the morning having heard ‘Bongo Jam’ or been caught by the infectious, hypnotic rhythms of ‘Do You Mind’? Saturday 15th November sees us celebrate the launch of their debut album ‘This Is Funky Vol 1’ (in shops nationwide from 3rd Nov) with a 45 minute set (full live band) featuring Bongo Man, Calista, Kyla and Kimona. The Crazy Cousinz will also be rocking the decks later in the night with a DJ set.
Mash is brought to you by Rachael Bee (Impact Ventures), a party promoter of 20 years with The MTV Lick Parties, ILUVLIVE and Play in her credits; Alvin Haywood (Body & Soul) most noted for his monthly Mansion House Parties and the infamous Sunday nights at Aura and Zay; one of London’s most skilled DJ’s and recently busy with a series a Secret Society parties and an album in development.
If you love live music and clubbing and are tired of hearing the same ten songs on repeat, being refused entry with your fresh limited edition Nikes while the guy wearing Clarks gets in and putting up with mediocre DJs, you’re in our gang!

Trevor Nelson’s New Years Eve Party

Trevor Nelson is surely a man who needs no introduction but for those that don’t know, Trevor is a DJ and presenter extraordinaire. At the forefront of the black music scene for over 20 years, he is BBC Radio’s top black music presenter across 1xtra, Radio 1 and Radio 2, presents The Lick on MTV Base and DJ’s regularly throughout the world.
Back for the third year running at Parker McMillan, Trevor Nelson is remixing his New Years Eve experience for 2008 with an over 23’s only door policy.
Expect an intimate night with a champagne cocktail reception (until 11pm), complimentary chunky canapies between 1am and 2am (just when you need something to soak up all that champagne), Big Ben chimes at midnight and plenty of party poppers to make sure your 2009 starts with a bang.
We are also introducing VIP tickets, which include table/booth reservation, queue jump and escort to table with waitress service (with no service charge added – now isn’t that refreshing!).
If you’re over 23 and love all types of urban music from oldskool to new cool this is the only event to be at on New Years Eve 2008.
